Battery Charger

The high-voltage battery charger provides fully automatic, three-stage charging from shore power. Batteries are initially recharged at a constant current (bulk charge.) As the terminal voltage rises, the charger switches to constant voltage (absorption or finish charge) until output current drops below a pre-set point. Output voltage then switches to float level to maintain the battery. The charger is preset to a given nominal voltage for the battery bank of 12 batteries. It is adjustable with a high-low switch for current inputs of 20 or 10 amps. An internal fuse protects against over-current and reversed polarity of the battery leads.
