SPMD
The Safety Power Management and Distribution
box is the junction that links power inputs and outputs. It
contains high and low voltage tie points for power distribution.
In the single motor system, the fused, high-voltage leads
enter the box and connect to the monitoring components of
the E-meter and optional ammeter. From there they go to buss
bars for distribution to the system. In twin systems and systems
with optional generator and inverter, the SPMD(s) works in
conjunction with the Main Distribution Box. The SPMD (in all
models) includes a terminal strip for wiring the ignition
key and throttle control. The outer box is plastic for insulation
and corrosion resistance.
